Yep. Even though this film misrepresented the capabilities of sound
recording and editing, it's a fave. Incidentally, Coppola stole the
'sound designer' credit from the theatre because he directed a production
of 'Private Lives' in San Francisco while he was waiting for Godfather to
be released and I was the sound designer at ACT, the theatre company that
produced this show. His father, Carmine, composed the music and directed
the small ensemble that played both incidental and background music for
the production (he composed the Godfather music as well...)
