Extreme congratulations to ICMC for their scheduling of the next conference,
the opening day to be held on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year for
Jewish people.
Why change a winning pattern of exclusion?
President, Mary Simoni has stated, ....."The dates are established based on
the availability of facilities and resources"
Everyone makes mistakes. After last years comments to the ICMA-ICMC list, I
am disappointed ICMA-ICMC leaders did not care enough to do the right thing,
to check the calendar, and also include in their priority, selecting a date
practicing Jews could participate.
While my posts have gone through expressing the above to President Simoni, I
also sent the post to the ICMA list, but it was not passed on to the members.
Perhaps the address has been changed from last year.
This should be a "United We Stand "thing. I would be as concerned to "do the
right thing" if the date selected were on Christmas or Easter.
Best wishes to all for a very Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year.
