I still run SDII on my OS9 8500 with Crescendo G4 400 card in.
Very quick overview creation and with 2.8.3 great shortcuts.

In the studios some stations run SDII, others are forced to now to use PeakLE
or Pro-tools in 'destructive mode'. On the PCs (yikes) we use Nero,
Cubase and
(in future) samplitude.

Adrian.
