Call for Music:
The University of North Texas College of Music is pleased to announce the
Third "Latinamerican Gallery of Electro-Acoustic Music". The concert will
take place April 3rd at the Merril Ellis Intermedia Theater as part of the
All the Arts Festival to be held April 2-6, 2001, on the campus of the
University of North Texas located in Denton, TX.
The curators, Lucio E. Cuellar and Henry Vega, are accepting music that
fits the following categories:
1) Two channel works for tape (CD).
2) Eight channel (ADAT) works.
3) Instrument(s) and tape. *
4) Works including live electronics. *
5) Works for video
6) Sound Installations and Interactive Media (composer must provide all
non-standard equipment)
* participation dependent on equipment / performer availability.
The Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theatre (MEIT) is an 8-speaker diffusion
system, which will be expanded to a 12.1 speakers system. The MEIT is
also equipped with ADAT playback as well as video projection on 3 large
screens. Composers from any Latin-American country may submit up to two
works; the deadline for submissions is February 25th 2001.
