Hi all,

I hope your millennium/new year celebrations went well. It also
happens to be the celebration of the centenary of federation in
Australia, so pomp and circumstance have been heaped on in all
celebrations.

I am writing to ask advice from the list re PhD opportunities O/S. I
will complete my masters in February, which has been based around my
exploration of realtime synthesis environments responding to realtime
human movements, and more recently weather patterns. I am interested
in continuing this work, and am looking for a PhD scholarship in an
institution where I can study with someone very familiar and
knowledgeable with synthesis techniques, and preferably with some
knowledge of interactive installation work. I only speak English, so
that would limit my options somewhat. I would be very pleased for
any information from member of the list regarding opportunities in
the USA and Europe.

I am currently using a VNS, MAX/MSP/Pyrite, Supercollider, and
recently purchased a Capybara/Kyma system. I am familiar with Java.
I am most keen to find a position where I could look to my supervisor
as a master in the field.

information about my work can be found at

Thanks in advance for your responses.
