Subject: CBC cancels Two New Hours

Thought this might be of interest to those who enjoy the acoustic
side of new music.
The CBC has now put Two New Hours officially on the chopping block.
The last show is to air March 18th, 2007.
It seems that English CBC has now done what Radio Canada has already
done - wipe new music completely off the airwaves. Theie "new"
version of the term "new music" simply means new pop, new world music
etc.
It's a really sad statement on the current state of our public
broadcaster. It seems there really is little or no room for art on
the CBC other than perhaps a report on a painting!
