I've been very pleased with the positive reactions to my two previous DVD-ROM's based on granular synthesis and soundscape composition, and so I'm delighted to announce the availability of a third DVD-ROM devoted to text and voice based composition. The webpage is: www.sfu.ca/~truax/textdvd.html

It includes an overview summary of voice processing using granular time stretching, resonators, comb filters and convolution, suitable for classroom use,
and the essay "A Voice For All Seasons". It also includes complete documentation (all texts, source sounds, processing parameters and individual tracks, mixing score, spectrograms and final mix) of five of my pieces:

The Blind Man (1979); The Wings of Nike (1987), with visuals; Song of Songs (1992); Wings of Fire (1996) and Androgyne, Mon Amour (1996-97), bringing to 9 the number of works documented and published in this manner (with 3 more completed and available on request). This documentation is suitable for detailed individual analysis or classroom demo's of significant compositional approaches used in these works.

Special prices are available for order one, two or all three of these DVD-ROM's.

Thanks for your interest
Barry
