I should probably add that I can run these operating systems in
-parallel- (using Parallels desktop), which means that I can be
running WindowsXP within a window in OSX, and drag-and-drop a
soundfile from Windows to OSX.
While I am a huge advocate of Linux and contribute to several Open
Source projects, I just cannot see why anyone would choose Windows as
their main platform, especially when it can be run within other,
quite simply more stable OSs.
