slrn: spam-killing

We get frequent complaints about the amount of spam (multi-posted or massively crossposted articles, usually off-topic for the newsgroups they appear in, and often containing commercial solicitations) that gets into the newsfeed. In an attempt to help users deal with these postings more efficiently, we are making available a system-wide netnews spamcatcher, in the form of a communal slrn scorefile.

To include the system-wide scorefile into your own scorefile, add the line:

Include: /local/lib/slrn/Score.spam to your scorefile. If you want to see what we are scoring and why, read the file itself.

Most Alcor users will have this automatically set up for them when they invoke slrn for the first time.
